Who would your Stargate: Atlantis boyfriend be?
created with QuizFarm.com

So the result was about as predictable as an episode of Eastenders and also slightly confusing when you compare it to the previous results, but what is more worrying is that there's an 25% compatibility with Steve the Wraith!.....now that's just a might unsettlin'

Hello Emma. I chose to post a reply to this because I was looking for a way to contact you since you seem very knowledgeable about TV programs. I grew up in the U.K. but moved to the U.S. when I was 10. I am now 23 and for some reason a memory an obscure childrens TV program came into my head today. I'll try to describe it for you.

I think it was on BBC1, it was about a boy who was learning/knew magic and descended from a line of magicians. I think his grandmother was teaching him. I think he had an Irish or Scottish accent. There was lots of ice imagery, and I seem to remember a giant white galleon that glided through the air, sort of like a ghost ship. The only memorable plot line I can remember was that his grandmother chastized him once for using his magic on a group of boys that were heckling him. He had transformed into a demon or something like that to scare them away. It was a serious show, not a comedy or a spoof. I seem to remember watching it often, but I have no idea why I suddenly remembered it over 13 years later. Any ideas what the name of this program was? It would have probably aired around 1988-90. You can post a reply here or email me if you choose. midgley@comcast.net

I really hope you can remember what it was called. I would have posted on the classic kids TV website forum, but don't like signing up for those things.

So you can sleep at night, the program you are refering to is called The Snow Spider which aired on CBBC in 1988 and was adapted from a Jenny Nimmo book. One of a triology the other books were: Emlyn's Moon and The Chestnut Soldier and they too were adapted for TV in the late 80's and early 90's. Oh and the accent you remember was Welsh. I'll send you some more details via email.
