1st Walk of Spring

Oops...here we go again, apologies for being absent once again, I have for once been busy-ish.  Exercise and getting some Vitamin D into my very depleted system has been key...and then having to shop for jeans as mine had become too big, a rather satisfying feeling indeed.

I've visited friends and will once again be looking after dumb and dumber (aka Oscar and Archie) this weekend and...since Spring has put in a welcome early appearance....I even went for my first proper walk of the season.

I decided that to break myself in I comfortable walk along the coast was in order for the particularly lovely sunny and warm Spring day and so the Witterings was my starting point.

Spring blossoms lined some of the route

I passed by many a fabulously expensive looking house, the Witterings/Itchenor area obviously very attractive to the well off of Sussex

I was hoping the harbour tours or at least the ferry were operating since it was such a lovely day...alas too early in the season...In the summer I will be back for a mini cruise.

Wouldn't be Spring without Daffies

Some of the epic looking yachts at Chichester Marina.  When I win the lottery I'm gonna get me one of these

As with many of my walks I ended up going further than intended ending up along the old canal which leads into nearby Chichester
Rusty, Chichester Marinas resident Swan

And a couple of visitors

So my little, easy, wander of around 5 miles along the coast ended up being a much longer walk which turned inland...and by the time I caught the bus for home I had walked over 9 1/2 miles...needless to say I got a very good nights sleep last night.
