Eee Gads

Whilst watching Britain's Got Talent (for the record I was only waiting for Pushing Daisies to start and for the most part.....No they don't) a young girl played a fab bit of classical music on the piano.....I informed Pete, my housemate, that when I was young I could play a flawless rendition of 'Suicide is Painless' on the keyboard.....Pete asked 'What's that?'....'The theme tune to M*A*S*H' I replied....'What's Mash?' Pete puzzled......I resisted the urge to slap my televisually challenged young friend upside the head, while I contemplated the best way to stop the aging gene.

I am aghast - a life without Radar? Hot Lips? Hawkeye? Say it ain't so! And though I couldn't play it on the piano (my specialty was The Entertainer from the movie The Sting), my best friend could play it and I'd sing along.

And don't you just love Pushing Daisies? I think it was my favorite new show of the last season.

I'd like to say he was kidding but he's but a babe & I fear has led a sheltered life thus far, don't worry though I will educate the boy....Pushing Daises only just started last night.....new series of Doctor Who followed by the deliciously colourful and quirky PD....well, no social life on a Sat night for me now then!

In other news have you heard about the Hewletts apperance in London in June....An Audience with Kate and David.....if only I had some money!!!!

Yes, educate him! The poor boy needs it. Did his parents not on a TV when he was growing up?? Of course, I'm married to a man that's never seen an episode of Twilight Zone, so I understand sheltered. Well, maybe "understand" is too strong a word. I live with it, anyway.

The Hewlett's are coming! The Hewlett's are coming! Lucky you - here's hoping you get a windfall so you can get tickets to see them. (And then take lots and lots of pictures and blog about it so that I can live vicariously through you ;) I heard they were getting married over there, but didn't realize they were making an appearance.

Introducing Puzzled Pete to the world of M*A*S*H is a must, lol. Back in the day, I was a M*A*S*H freak! Mon thru Fri I used to watch it at least 3 times a day due to reruns on various channels. For awhile on Mondays in the early 80s, I would watch it a 4th time when the prime time telecast would air. Although I don't watch it as much as I used to, I still catch it sometimes on TV Land and the Hallmark Channel.

Pushing Daisies was my favorite new series of the 2007-2008 season. I can't wait for it to return in the fall.
